Yiqun,Weng: 美國(guó)農(nóng)業(yè)部農(nóng)業(yè)研究署蔬菜作物研究中心(USDA- ARS)研究員;美國(guó)威斯康星大學(xué)麥迪遜分校園藝系助理教授,主要從事瓜類遺傳育種研究。1981-1985,南京農(nóng)業(yè)大學(xué),植物遺傳育種,獲學(xué)士學(xué)位;1985-1988,南京農(nóng)業(yè)大學(xué)細(xì)胞遺傳學(xué),獲碩士學(xué)位;1994-1998,Texas A & M University-College Station, USA, 獲遺傳學(xué)博士學(xué)位。

Yiqun,Weng博士所領(lǐng)導(dǎo)的瓜類遺傳改良研究實(shí)驗(yàn)室從屬于美國(guó)農(nóng)業(yè)部農(nóng)業(yè)研究署蔬菜作物研究中心(USDA- ARS)及威斯康星大學(xué)園藝系。過(guò)去四十年中該研究室在瓜類作物遺傳育種研究方面做了大量卓有成效的工作。尤其在黃瓜雌性系的發(fā)現(xiàn)與應(yīng)用,黃瓜自交系的選育,黃瓜及甜瓜遺傳圖譜的構(gòu)建等方面做出了重要的貢獻(xiàn)并為世界各國(guó)同行所承認(rèn)。研究領(lǐng)域目前主要集中在黃瓜種質(zhì)資源開發(fā)(包括外緣基因的鑒定利用),重要性狀遺傳規(guī)律研究,遺傳連鎖圖譜構(gòu)建與基因定位,分子育種及基因克隆,瓜類基因組學(xué)、比較基因組學(xué)等研究。
